Introduction:
As a college student from Heyuan City, Guangdong Province, China, I love science very much and care about the future of mankind. Global warming is a problem that everyone needs to be concerned about. The environment is closely related to the future of human life. Today, the thousand-year-old permafrost in the Arctic is melting; the hole in the ozone layer at the top of Antarctica is getting bigger; the ancient virus is slowly recovering; the land is submerged by the sea; algae blooms kill fish......These are all related to global warming. Have we ever thought about the future of humanity? Have we ever thought about the future of our habitat? I hope this science fiction can awaken human's awareness of protection. The novel tells the story of 2100 AD when human activities have made it difficult for humans to survive on the Earth. As a result, humans evacuated Earth to rebuild their homes on Planet Kata. Later, humans also restored the Earth and explored a new habitable planet X by relying on science and technology. Humans and aliens as well as the combination of humans and aliens built these three planets together and lived happily. Let's protect our habitat together. Global warming is a challenge mankind is facing. This science fiction is also a challenge that I have experienced some difficulties to complete. I hope you enjoy it! If some ideas might not be mature, please don’t judge harshly. Thank you for reading.
Destruction and Rebirth
In 2100 AD, the human race has become one, and the world is no longer divided into several nations. Countries no longer go to war for interests as they did hundreds of years ago. The vision of a community with a shared future for mankind has been realised. People no longer have the barrier of language, but speak the same language of the planet. However, while human beings coexist peacefully, the living environment has been the biggest crisis of human extinction. What's more, the vibrant blue planet which used to be full of human beings has become a battered grey planet that has lost its former vitality. The emissions of greenhouse gases increasing, trees are cut down massively, and global warming is intensified. The rising global temperatures cause the glaciers in the Arctic and Antarctic to melt, the oceans to become dry and the sea water to become saltier. The earth's weather also has lost rain, snow and hail. Due to the high temperatures, people have to rely on air conditioning all the time, but with the excessive use of air conditioning and freon gas emissions, the ozone layer has been destroyed. Ultraviolet rays reaching the ground are not blocked, threatening the survival of life on Earth.
With the development of science, everyone is riding in a sky-car, and buildings that are technological and futuristic are rising up. Almost every building on the street has several virtual screens that not only convey information, but also absorb UV and ground radiation. Scientists have also invented a kind of protective clothing to withstand the damage of ultraviolet light, people wearing protective clothing cannot be hurt and are able to lead a relatively normal life. But because of the limited materials and the high demand for protective clothing, other creatures have died out due to lack of protection.
Previously full of life the earth has long been barren and human is the only creature still standing. It is not that human beings have never fought against it or thought of ways to deal with it, but the rapid development in the early stage has made the earth overwhelmed and the earth's ability to recover has been completely lost. Coupled with the loss of other living things on Earth, people have lost the opportunity to grow food and raise animals, and they have to rely on the food they stored up before.
It is a fact known to all mankind that the earth is no longer suitable for human habitation. Therefore, the Planetary Bureau sends Mr. Q to lead others to pilot a spacecraft into outer space to explore habitable planets. Mr. Q has accepted an appointment from the Planetary Bureau. Before leaving, he returned home to say goodbye to his family. He kissed his wife and son and said, "Wait until I get back." Then, carrying a bottle of Earth's overheated soil, he pressed the button on his suit and teleported to the spaceship. Holding the hot bottle in his hand, with tears in his eyes, he composed himself and said to his companions, "Let's go."
A group of people piloted a spaceship on a long journey to find habitable planet. The spacecraft was rising and falling. When Mr. Q and his companions got hungry, they opened the supply bay to fill their stomachs and refuel the spacecraft from time to time. Mr. Q thought to himself: in the vast universe, where can there be a second habitable planet? Years passed, and they were still searching like Kua Fu who never gave up. In the meantime, they also requested supplies from the Planetary Bureau. The Planet Agency immediately launched a supply rocket to their location. And it would be automatically attached to the ship upon arrival. One day, Mr. Q was piloting the ship, constantly searching, when he received a live video message from the director of the Planetary Bureau: "Must complete the mission ASAP! Today, the situation is critical. We're running low on protective clothing, we're running low on food stocks, which will only last three months. I hope you would finish the job soon. Well, we are waiting for you!" Mr. Q replied firmly, "Roger that!" After that, he said to his partners, "The earth is running out of time. We have to hurry." For the rest of the day, they searched day and night.
One day, piloted by the work-weary partner the spacecraft accidentally deviated from the track. By the time everyone has reacted, a huge meteorite was hurtling towards them, smashing into the ship and sending them off in an unknown direction. In order not to delay the task, Mr. Q stood up and mastered the spacecraft: "Cheer up, we have a task, our loved ones are waiting for us to save!" At this point, the spacecraft seemed to be attracted by gravity to a strong magnetic object. Then, as if affected by the airflow, they experienced a violent shaking. Suddenly, the spaceship was forced to stop and land somewhere. They heard sounds outside, "Open the ship! Come out!" But they can't hear the sounds clearly. Just then the knowledge machine inside the ship rang out: "Attention! Pay attention! Discover ancient humans. In case of language barrier, please enable translation mode. It will turn on automatically in one second. Beep ~ "At this time, the sound outside the spaceship repeated, and the translator took the initiative to translate out:" Open the spaceship! Come out!" Mr. Q and his friends whispered: "Go out. The Earth is running out of time. If we can survive on a planet other than Earth, there must be a way. It is our last hope." A group of them opened the door of the spaceship and went out to see a long-haired man in ancient costume, with gray hair and a kind smile on his face: "I've been waiting for you for more than eight hundred years, and finally someone is here." With all the light and the unknown vegetation on the ground, Mr. Q said, "May I ask who you are?" The white-haired man gave a hearty laughter: "I am Wan Hu who chases the flying dream hundreds of years ago." The eyes of Mr. Q and the people around him were full of admiration: "Wan Hu, a pioneer who has already paid his live for the flying dream." Mr. Q said excitedly: "Ancestor, we are the people of the later era, but now there is an urgent situation to discuss with you!" Wan Hu stroked his beard and said, "Go ahead." Mr. Q told him about the plight of the Earth. Hearing this, Wan Hu sighed: "Eisen, I have something to discuss with you. Come here quickly." Then the strange person with purple light appeared and spoke in a mechanical voice. "Hello, welcome to the planet Kata. I am Eisen, it’s ruler." Wan Hu explained when he looked at the surprised expressions on everyone's faces. "Hundreds of years ago, I wanted to explore the universe, tie a homemade rocket to a chair, sit on the chair, and let someone light the rocket to send me aloft. I did fly out into space, but how can humans withstand the cold of space? Just when I thought I was going to die, Eisen saved my life. I've just discovered that there are creatures other than humans." After the explanation, Wan Hu tells Eisen about the state of the earth, and Eisen says to Mr. Q: "Your other people are welcome to come and live here." Mr. Q and several others expressed their heartfelt thanks to Eisen.
Afterwards, a group of them bid farewell to Wan Hu and Eisen, went back to the spaceship and returned to Earth. They mmediately told the director of Planetary Bureau, "We've found a habitable planet and we're returning!" The director of Planetary Bureau praised them: "Mission well done, hurry back!" Then the director of Planetary Bureau immediately delivered evacuation messages and instructions to the people's mobile phones, virtual screens on the road also started an emergency announcement: "Hello everyone, this is the director of Planetary Bureau. We've found a habitable planet. Pack your bags. In 30 minutes, we're leaving on time from the Sky Gate square. "After watching the broadcast, people rushed home to collect their belongings, leaving the streets empty. Mr. Q also led others back to Earth and worked with the members of the Planetary Bureau to organise an orderly evacuation of the residents. Half an hour later, citizens with levitating bags and suitcases came to the big square to line up, and began to evacuate the Earth action. Full of tears, they bid farewell to Mother Earth and boarded the spaceship. One ship after another headed for the planet Kata.
After the spacecraft arrived on the planet Kata, Eisen led the Kata residents to welcome the Earthlings. At first, the Earth people did not adapt to the life and things on the planet Kata, and they were full of fear for the strange people with purple light. But with the help of those kata residents who look fearsome but warm-hearted, they gradually got used to life there and rebuilt their homeland.
However, it's hard for Earthlings who preferred to eat food grown on the ground to adapt to the food of the Kata people. But there is no soil on Kata, which thrives on floss too thin to grow the staples of human life --rice and wheat. But what to do without soil? The director of Planetary Bureaus has ordered scientists to hurry up and find a solution. With the efforts of scientists, almost all the steps are in place, leaving only one last step -- Earth's soil. How do you find the earth's soil? The original Earth had run out of life, was undergoing massive internal explosions, and the magma was rising to the surface, which had corroded the soil completely. The Director of Planetary Bureaus has summoned Mr. Q and the other partners to discuss countermeasures, hoping to get them back to Earth to find what little soil is left.
While the crowd was in distress, Mr. Q had an idea. He brought a bottle of soil from home as a souvenir before completing the mission. He pulled out the bottle of soil he had in his coat pocket and asked, "Is it ok? This is soil I got from home." The scientists looked at the two eyes shining, excitedly said: "Great! That's great! Absolutely! Our soil problem can be solved! In the future, we can have our own food!" The scientists took the bottle from Mr. Q and flew back to the lab. Mr. Q and the Director of Planetary Bureaus followed immediately. In front of the crowd, the scientists sprinkled the soil into a pile of solution. Each tiny grain of soil expanded into a giant one, which was then broken into tiny grains of sand. Everyone was so excited! Then the scientist distributed the soil and asked the director of Planetary Bureaus to organise the distribution. The residents saw the soil as if they saw hope. The inhabitants spread the soil in front of their homes and spread the seeds they brought from the earth. After their careful care, the seeds slowly germinated and grew, and finally bore fruit. The people reaped the fruit and ate the reassuring rice and wheat.
Kata has become a thriving planet like the Earth, vegetation is overgrown everywhere, and many plants that died out long ago have been rebred by scientists. Scientists also incubated the eggs brought by the inhabitants from the earth into animals, and rebreed the animals by combining the sperm and eggs of the frozen animals. Gradually, people realised the damage to the earth caused by their behaviour in the past, and they were determined not to repeat the mistakes. Moreover, under the influence of the green life of Kata people, the earth people have a growing awareness of protection. Kata residents have also become familiar with the ways of earthlings. Turns out Earthlings can live in harmony with aliens, too.
Over the centuries, the Earthmen and the Kata gave birth to life, creating new breed of humans--Kata-Earthmen. Also the human genome has completely changed. They're more attuned to life on Kata. At the same time, they also follow the teachings of their ancestors and actively build the planet of Kata. The planet Kata also became the second Earth for mankind.
Humans and the inhabitants of Kata have joined hands to build Kata, and scientists have been working tirelessly to develop high-tech products. The buildings built on the roads are made of environmentally friendly and lightweight materials, and their facades absorb ultraviolet light to generate their own electricity. Inside, instead of using elevators as they did hundreds of years ago, there are teleportation tracks that carry 500 people at a time, going in 500 directions at once. When a person enters the orbit, a virtual screen appears in front of him or her, and after people choose their destination, the orbit teleports them to their destination. Because the speed is too fast, there will be no crowding. In the meantime, the building has a spare track in case of emergency. The temperature in the building changes according to the temperature people are comfortable with, so people can always wear the clothes they like, which greatly improves their satisfaction. Once the building has reached the end of its useful life, there is no need to worry about demolition. The building can be rebuilt and put into use with the help of multi-purpose robot workers, without any harmful waste.
At the same time, scientists are also actively exploring the interior of the planet Kata's ball and found that there are many rich resources inside. In order to explore resources conveniently, the earth scientists and the scientists of Kata planet together designed and developed an exploration robot that can change its shape at will and can withstand high temperature, cold, corrosion and impact. It integrates the wisdom of Kata and human beings, and has careful thinking. Most of the time, it can make decisions by itself. And it has a feature that can analyse the results in real time based on the probe data.
In terms of agriculture on Kata, scientists have also designed a self-care system that can provide water and nutrients to the fields according to their needs, allowing plants to grow stronger and produce more.
People's life has also been made extremely convenient. Everyone drives a sports car in the sky, and the car driving system is autonomous and safe. There are no real traffic lights in the sky to occupy the space. Instead, holographic traffic lights are used. Vehicle emissions are no longer a problem. The vehicle has an autonomous filtration and regeneration system inside, and the gas generated from the combustion becomes the raw material for the protective shield that protects the planet Kata after a series of operations. The protective shield will be strengthened constantly!
What’s more, 3D printing technology is already mature, people's clothes and construction materials can actually be 3D printed. In addition, the fabric of people's clothes can change the temperature of clothes according to the body temperature, so that people can keep the most comfortable state at any time.
Scientists have also created more animals through more advanced biotechnology and are gradually restoring extinct animals. The progress of biotechnology has led to the development of medical technology. Doctors are becoming more and more skilled and medical equipment is becoming more and more advanced. Resistance to drugs has been eradicated, and doctors have developed drugs that do less harm to humans and have almost no side effects. People's immune system is getting stronger and more resilient. Fewer and fewer people are getting sick, and people are living longer and longer, by thousands of years on average.
The world of Kata has gradually become an idealised planet through the joint efforts of humans and the Kata themselves, the Kata - Earth people.
One day the sun is shining on the land of Kata, and prosperity is everywhere. Mr. Q receives an invitation from Eisen, Banhu and the director of the Planet Bureau to go out and see how people live. They see people living in peace and happiness, smiles on everyone's face, working hard every day, and what is more amazing is that the Kata people have adapted to the working mode of the Earth people. They go to and from work together every day. After work, they go home to spend time with family. Everyone feel very satisfied.
Gradually, as people lived longer and longer, new life was born one after another. Even if the space on Kata is fully utilised and developed, it would still become very crowded. Earthmen and Kata hoped to open up new areas to disperse part of the people to another planet so that outer space becomes more lively, more bustling. "We want to develop new planets," the residents told Eisen. "The capacity of Kata is limited. We have to develop new places for sustainable development." Eisen was summoned by the inhabitants. He asked the residents to be patient.
He needed to go back and discuss it with them. Many ideas were put forward, but two were the main ones. One is to increase the governance of the old Earth, so that people can return to the earth. The other is to send people to continue the search for new habitable planets. Everyone's opinion was different. Finally, Eisen decided to pursue both projects at the same time, and sent Mr. Q to continue leading the search for habitable planets in the spaceship as before. At the same time, the director of the Planetary Bureau himself volunteered to return to Earth with a number of scientists to intensify efforts to repair the planet. Through a meeting, a group was divided, and a team led by Mr. Q piloted a spaceship to the unexplored outer space to discover a new planet. A team of scientists guided by the director of the Planetary Bureaus flew back to Earth in an invincible spaceship to carry out rehabilitation work.
Countless days have passed after the chief of the Planetary Bureaus had left the Earth. They looked through the window of their spaceship at the once grey Earth, which was slowly turning green, with faint flashes of blue. When the spaceship arrived on Earth, they went out and stepped on the ground they had left a long time ago, feeling very excited. The director of Planetary Bureaus looked at the ground that had once been eroded by lava. The soil was enriched by the volcanic ash, but plants had been unable to grow because of the lack of seeds and roots. Then they returned to the former Planetary Bureau building. Owing to the crash-resistant, corrosion-resistant materials, it still survived the major bangs and the lava. They entered the Bureau, looking at the traces of the past, with determination to rebuild the Earth more and more grand and beautiful. Scientists also couldn’t wait to go to the former laboratory, looking for the experimental equipment and experimental data with a sense of familiarity and intimacy in the heart.
Afterwards a meeting was held with the director of Planetary Bureau to plan the next steps. Because the earth is still too weak to withstand machines, so everything has to be built by man himself. Scientists would have to work day and night in the lab developing plants that can adapt to cooled magma eating through the soil. And developing certain projectiles that would release gas to rebuild the ozone layer. Animals that had once disappeared would have to be created, and scientists would use genes from gene banks in the laboratory to reprogram the code to create the animals that were more suitable for living on today’s Earth.
Finally the soil is fertile, the plants are green, and the animals are walking the earth. The director of Planetary Bureau has had the water tested specifically to improve its quality. Along with the gradual increase in the Earth's ability to recover, the Earth slowly changed back to its original shape. The repaired ozone layer weakened the UV rays reaching the surface, which finally returned to normal temperatures. The days of high temperatures are over. At the same time, scientists are developing updated air conditioners to reduce the release of freon, and looking for certain gases to mitigate the effects of freon. According to scientists, global warming is no longer a problem. At the same time, the director of the Planet Bureau also organised the second group of workers who arrived on Earth to remove the obsolete old air conditioning, and replace it with a new one.
The task of Earth reconstruction was almost complete. The director of Planetary Bureaus was delighted to announce the news. After that, the Director of Planetary Bureaus led everyone aboard the super spaceship back to the planet Kata.
The team led by Mr. Q continues to explore new habitable planets, so people can transfer some residents to new planets and reduce the load of the Kata planet. They fly spaceships through the universe, landing on each planet to explore for suitable conditions. Exploration from planet to planet. The group led by Mr. Q had grown impatient and began to complain. Mr. Q patiently calmed their feelings: "Hold on, we are not doing it for ourselves, but also for our residents." Having briefly overcome this episode, they set out to continue their quest. Suddenly, one of the men holding the high-powered mirror shouted excitedly, "There! There's water! There's water!" Mr. Q quickly piloted the ship toward the planet. They surveyed the planet and found that it had an atmosphere, water and soil. Another Earth-like planet. They returned to Kata with joy, reporting to Eisen that they had found a habitable planet.
After learning this, Eisen organised a group of people to visit the magnificent planet X to build infrastructure for those who arrived to live here. Some of the inhabitants of Kata will continue to live on Kata, some Earthmen will return to Earth, and the rest will arrive on habitable Planet X to live. All the residents began to build their future again, tired but happy. At the same time, scientists have invented a transportation facility to make it easy to travel between the three places. Transport pods are built on the top of each planet. The orbits of the transport pods of the three planets meet in the center, and a huge transfer station is built there. People from the three planets can freely travel to and from the three places through this engineering miracle.
All three planets are thriving, and humans make up the vast majority of the population on all three planets. Likewise, humans have become a major force in the construction of the three planets. Whether Earthmen, Kata, or Kata - Earthmen - all are coexisting peacefully.
Afterword
The essay is about the story of human living environment from destruction to rebirth. To destroy the environment is to destroy the future of mankind. Hope everyone can take care of our planet. In addition, this essay briefly mentioned genetic engineering, 3D printing technology, holographic projection technology, frozen sperm and egg combination technology, gene bank and so on. Interested readers can further get aquatinted with these technologies. Finally, I also want to share a word with you: Disaster, in the fall of a big tree began; Blessing, starting from the growth of a plant.

1.Community of Common Destiny for mankind: Community of common destiny for mankind, officially translated as community with a shared future for mankind, is a political slogan used by the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) to describe a stated foreign-policy goal of the People's Republic of China. The phrase was first used by former CCP General Secretary Hu Jintao and has been frequently cited by current General Secretary Xi Jinping. The phrase was included in the preamble of the Constitution of the People's Republic of China when the Constitution that was amended in 2018.
2. Kua Fu: Kua Fu is a giant in Chinese mythology who wished to capture the Sun. He was a grandson of Houtu.
3.Wan Hu: Wan Hu is a legendary Chinese official, supposedly lived from as early as 2000 BCE to as late as the middle Ming dynasty (16th century)—who was described in 20th century sources as the world's first "astronaut" by having been lifted by rockets into outer space.
4.Holographic projection: Holography is a technique that enables a wavefront to be recorded and later re-constructed. Holography is best known as a method of generating three-dimensional images, but it also has a wide range of other applications. In principle, it is possible to make a hologram for any type of wave.
5.Sperm-egg binding: Fertilisation or fertilzation (see spelling differences), also known as generative fertilization, syngamy and impregnation, is the fusion of gametes to give rise to a new individual organism or offspring and initiate its development. Processes such as insemination or pollination which happen before the fusion of gametes are also sometimes informally called fertilization. The cycle of fertilization and development of new individuals is called sexual reproduction. During double fertilization in angiosperms the haploid male gamete combines with two haploid polar nuclei to form a triploid primary endosperm nucleus by the process of vegetative fertilization.
6. 3D printing: 3D printing or additive manufacturing is the construction of a three-dimensional object from a CAD model or a digital 3D model. It can be done in a variety of processes in which material is deposited, joined or solidified under computer control, with material being added together (such as plastics, liquids or powder grains being fused), typically layer by layer.
